Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Waxing.
Trim hair to about ¼ inch, avoid heavy lotions and recent tanning. Arrive clean and avoid blood-thinning medications. If you’re on retinoids or have active skin issues, inform us so we can advise or reschedule for safety.
Some discomfort is normal, but pain varies by sensitivity. We use fast techniques, soothing wipes, and optional numbing products. Avoid caffeine before your appointment and breathe steadily; experienced estheticians work quickly to minimize discomfort.
Hair should be roughly ¼ to ½ inch (about 6–12 mm) so the wax can grip. If hair is too short we’ll trim it; if too long we may shorten for a cleaner, less painful procedure.
Most clients enjoy smooth results for three to six weeks depending on hair growth and care. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and produce finer, sparser hair over time, extending intervals between treatments.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, intense workouts and tight clothing for 24–48 hours. Apply a soothing, fragrance-free balm and avoid sun exposure or tanning beds until skin has calmed to prevent irritation or infection.
Waxing is generally safe during pregnancy after the first trimester, but sensitivity increases. Always consult your healthcare provider first; we can accommodate comfort measures. Breastfeeding is usually safe, though skin sensitivity should be discussed prior to service.
